Jyotika Jyoti starrer 'Bangamata' to screen at BSA today

To celebrate the life and legacy of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, director Goutam Koiri's short film, "Bangamata", is all set for its premiere today. 

The Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is set to host the prestigious premiere of "Bangamata" at its main auditorium at 5 pm. 

The titular role of this film is portrayed by the actress Jyotika Jyoti, who embodies the spirit and grace of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. 

Drawing inspiration from the novel "Bangamata Itihasher Nribhrita Sainik", penned by Khorshed Bahar, director Goutam Koiri masterfully weaves together the narrative of her journey in the backdrop of Bangladesh's Liberation War. 

"Bangamata" will be screened across the country, encompassing a wide array of institutions under the Ministry of Culture, including art academies. The Bangladesh National Museum will also hold the film's screening throughout the month, offering a chance to the audiences to engage with the rich history and powerful narrative.

The film is produced by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, in association with Poter Chobi. It also stars Monir Ahmed Shakeel, Shovan Das, Meghla Shuhashini Tupur and Farzana Chobi, among others.
