Karan Johar comments on SRK’s appearance on ‘Koffee with Karan’
Shah Rukh Khan was one of the inaugural guests on Karan Johar's talk show "Koffee with Karan" in 2004 for the release of its first season. He then went on to make three appearances during that season. Nevertheless, the King of Bollywood has opted to skip the past three seasons including the latest eighth season.
Shah Rukh Khan was a regular presence on "Koffee with Karan" during the first three seasons. He passed over the fourth season but made a comeback during the fifth season.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, host Karan Johar disclosed whether Shah Rukh Khan would make a comeback on "Koffee with Karan" for Season 8 after abstaining from the last two editions.
Karan said, "Shah Rukh is ever present, but I don't think he wants to be in the forefront. He deserves his silence. As fans and filmmakers, we should give him that."
Shah Rukh has refrained from engaging with the media or participating in talk shows since his son Aryan Khan's legal issues related to a drug case in 2021. Then again, his wife Gauri Khan made an appearance on the Koffee couch in the previous season and openly discussed the challenges their family was facing during that period.
