Ministry sends out open call for National Film Awards 2022
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has sent out an open call for producers to submit their projects from last year for the National Film Awards 2022. Filmmakers can now submit their movies until May 10, 4 pm.
The open call for applications was announced in a press release by the Bangladesh Film Censor Board on Sunday (April 30).
According to the notification, Bengali movies released in 2022 have to be submitted. Two copies of projects—in either CDs, DVDs, or pen drives—should be submitted. Artistes, crew members, and individuals nominated for the award should submit four copies of their CV (in Bangla) with a passport size photograph, an attested photocopy of their national identity card, an attested photocopy of their passport (if applicable), and an attested photocopy of their birth certificate (in the case of child-artistes). Awards in twenty-eight categories will be shortlisted for this year.
The National Film Award is the biggest cinematic prize in Bangladesh. Filmmakers are asked to submit their projects every year prior to the prize-giving ceremony.
The application form can be collected free of charge from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board office. Application forms can also be downloaded from the Censor Board website at www.bfcb.gov.bd.
