Mishuk Munier Memorial Award submission closes today

The Lily-Munier Memorial Trust is inviting submissions from reporters and cinematographers for the inaugural Mishuk Munier Memorial Award-2023.

The award, established to honour the legacy of Mishuk Munier, welcomes audio-visual reports, feature films, and documentaries. Bangladeshi citizens above 18 years of age are encouraged to submit their creations in either Bangla or English, as outlined in the circular posted by Asif Munier, a journalist and Mishuk Munier's younger brother.

Submissions can be sent via email to lily.munier.memorial@gmail.com or physically delivered to House 68, Road 7, Block F, Banani, Dhaka 1213. Each participant is limited to submitting a single entry.

The award ceremony is slated to coincide with Mishuk Munier's birthday on September 24.

Mishuk Munier, the son of Munier Chowdhury and Lily Chowdhury, tragically lost his life in a car accident in 2011. In 2022, their family established the Lily-Munier Memorial Trust to honour and preserve the legacies of Munier Chowdhury and theater artiste Lily Chowdhury.
