Mosharraf Karim, Shamim Zaman, AKhM Hasan reunite for new TVdrama
Renowned actors Mosharraf Karim, along with his long time co-stars Shamim Zaman, and AKhM Hasan, who began their acting careers in theatre, have reunited once again for a new television drama series titled "Shadi Mobarok".
Famous for their on- and off-screen camaraderie, the trio has delivered numerous hit projects over the years. Now, after a four-year hiatus, the three close friends are reuniting for this highly anticipated project, currently being filmed in Pubail, Gazipur.
Directed by Shamim Zaman, "Shadi Mobarok" is a family-focused drama with a rural setting, promising heartfelt humour and relatable family dynamics.
In the series, Shamim Zaman plays the eldest brother of the family, who faces societal judgment because of his unattractive appearance, making it difficult for him to find a bride. Their father, adhering to tradition, decrees that the younger brothers cannot marry until the eldest does. However, unbeknownst to the family, the younger brothers—played by Mosharraf Karim and AKhM Hasan—are secretly married but are too afraid to bring their wives home, fearing their father's reaction. Robena Reza Jui stars as their only sister, enriching the family dynamics.
Sharing his thoughts, director and actor Shamim Zaman said, "Mosharraf and I began our journeys in theatre together. Over the years, he has been part of many of my projects. In 'Shadi Mobarok', audiences will see him in a fresh and exciting way."
Mosharraf Karim added, "Shamim is not only a long-time friend but also a skilled director. 'Shadi Mobarok' has a compelling story, and I am confident it will resonate with viewers."
AKhM Hasan chimed in, "Shamim's dramas always feature surprises, and 'Shadi Mobarok' is no exception. Viewers can expect plenty of twists."
Written by Ahmed Shahabuddin, "Shadi Mobarok" is slated to air on Maasranga Television.
