Azmeri Haque Badhan took herself to a new height and became a household name, after her amazing performance in the film "Rehana Maryam Noor". She also debuted in Bollywood with Vishal Bhardwaj directorial "Khufiya".

‘Saira is my powerhouse’: Badhan on daughter’s birthday

Today marks the birthday of this talented actress.

On her birthday, Badhan posted a picture of her childhood on her Facebook account, with a heartfelt caption.

"This was the picture of my first birthday. My mother used to put Kajol in my eyes all the time. This is one of my favourite pictures," said Badhan.

Meanwhile, her beloved daughter Saira has brought a cake with her Eidi, for her mother. The adorable mother-daughter duo celebrated at the stroke of 12.

"I felt very good when I saw my daughter made an effort to surprise me. When she asked for the money yesterday, I didn't think she would do something like this. These little moments make me think that life is really beautiful," said the actress.

Reminiscing memories with her daughter, she shared, "When She first learnt to write, she made me a handmade card on my birthday. I will never forget that day."

"I really love when my birthday comes. The love and appreciation I get from my audience, it makes me feel alive. I enjoy my birthdays a lot," she added. "I have grown a lot mentally too, through ups and downs in my life. I feel the change in me. However, I enjoy my journey."

Although it's a special day for Badhan, her mother is sick and, in the hospital, right now. She is planning to visit her in the hospital today. She will be cutting the cake there with her family.

"We could have celebrated the day with all the members of our family, if she was there with me right now," Badhan said.

Regarding her new web series, "Guti", she said, "This is a woman-centric centered web series. I feel happy that Chorki chose such a unique story. I have worked with a wonderful team."

When she was asked what's the meaning of life for her, she concluded by saying, "Every day starts with a new beginning, that makes life so beautiful and enjoyable."
