‘Myself Allen Swapan’ will fulfill people’s expectations: Nasir Uddin Khan
With Chorki's original series, "Syndicate" versatile actor Nasir Uddin Khan carved a place in the hearts of the audience with his small but impactful role of Allen Swapan. He caught people's attention with his catchy punchlines in Chittagong's dialect and quirky personality.
Due to the craze around Allen's character, a spin-off series titled "Myself Allen Swapan" directed by Shihab Shaheen has been made. Finally, the series will be released this upcoming Eid on Chorki.
When asked if the spin-off series can fulfill the expectations of the audience, he replied, "I think it can. When my director Shihab Shaheen, created the character, he didn't think it would be that popular or get a spin-off series. Still, he created the character with the equal importance of the lead characters. I think all the credit goes to him, I am just a mere actor who executed the process."
"Myself Allen Swapan" is set in the background of 2018 when Allen Swapan used to smuggle drugs in Chittagong. During a crossfire, Allen Swapan was thought to be dead by everyone which however wasn't the case. He fled to Dhaka secretly and started the money laundering racket. The spin-off series will be focused on the before and aftermath of this event.
In this series, Rafiath Rashid Mithila plays the wife of Nasir Uddin Khan.
"This is my first work with Mithila. Hers is one of the most important characters in the series. She is a very helpful co-actor, which helped me get comfortable around her," said Nasir.
The series also stars Shimla, Sentu, and Sumon Anwar, among others.
