Nidra Dey Neha to walk away from acting over industry ethics

Bangladeshi actress Nidra Dey Neha has announced her departure from the entertainment industry, expressing disillusionment with its prevailing unethical practices.
Neha highlighted concerns over favouritism, where social media popularity and industry cliques often overshadow genuine talent and dedication.

"I always wanted to be involved with art, culture, and acting," she shared on Facebook. "But unfortunately, my love for acting is being destroyed daily due to injustice and devaluation," she said.
Neha's career began with her participation in Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020, leading to roles in advertisements, followed by her acting debut in Goutam Koiri's web-film "Antonagar" (2023).
She gained further recognition with her performance in Kusum Sikder's directorial debut "Shoroter Joba" (2024), portraying the character Beli.

Despite her efforts to establish herself as a serious actress, Neha faced challenges in securing roles, attributing it to not being part of influential industry groups.
The actress also mentioned her involvement in the upcoming film "Taandob", starring Shakib Khan, which has reportedly been marred by complications.
Neha's decision to leave the industry has sparked discussions about the need for transparency and merit-based opportunities in Bangladeshi entertainment.
