Actress Nipun will be serving as the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association till February 22. The news was confirmed by the actress herself in a press conference held at BFDC today.

"I am the legitimate general secretary of the organisation and I am carrying out the orders issued by the court," shared Nipun. "I will follow the decision of the court and keep fulfilling my responsibilities just as I have been doing since I took the oath. Many have queries in this regard and so, we arranged this press conference."

The actress also said that she has received threats and is being asked to take the case back. Nipun has already filed a general dairy in the Banani police station.

Sohanur Rahman Sohan, the chair of the appeal board, Khorshed Alam Khosru, former president of Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association, Mohammad Hossain, the current president of Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association, actors Nana Shah, D A Tayeb, Jesmin and many others were present at the event.
