Nuhash’s ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ to premiere at Rotterdam film fest
Nuhash Humayun's anthology horror series, "Pett Kata Shaw" received official selection at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam. The anthology series will be premiered at the festival.
This year, the film festival will run from January 25 to February 5 in Netherland.
Announcing the good news, Nuhash Humayun wrote on his Facebook account, "Excited to announce the highly prestigious International Film Festival of Rotterdam will host the international premiere of Pett Kata Shaw."
"Our reinvention of Bengali ghost stories has already touched the imaginations of countless South Asian audiences. This is now an incredible opportunity to showcase PETT KATA SHAW internationally," he added.
He also congratulated the cast, crew, Chorki, Little Big Films and A for Action teams for this achievement.
"Pett Kata Shaw" is an anthology of supernatural stories based on our folklore, I would not call it horror, per se. They contain psychological and paranormal layers – ghost stories that explore the human condition," said Nuhash Humayun in an interview with The Daily Star.
The anthology series casts Sohel Mondol, Shirin Akter Shila, Afzal Hossain, Chanchal Chowdhury in the lead roles.
