'Pathaan' crosses Rs 400 crore mark in four days
Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" continued its record-breaking journey at the box office, grossing Rs 429 crore in four days, according to production company Yash Raj Films (YRF) on January 29.
"'Pathaan hit another Rs 100 crore+ on its fourth day, as it registered Rs 53.25 crore net in India (Hindi, all dubbed versions), taking the India gross to Rs 64 crore. The overseas gross on day 4 is at Rs 52 crore, taking the total collection on its fourth day of release to Rs 116 crore gross," the studio said in a press note.
On Sunday, trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted a Pathaan poster on Twitter. "PATHAAN: 429 CR WORLDWIDE *GROSS* IN 4 DAYS...,"
"Pathaan" has already stunned the Indian box office, collecting Rs 55 crore from its Hindi version and Rs 2 crore from the dubbed versions, on its opening day. Furthermore, the film grossed Rs 102.7 crore globally on the same day.
"Pathaan" is directed by Siddharth Anand, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in lead roles. One of the film's big highlights is actor Salman Khan's cameo as Tiger in the film. Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana also played important roles in the action spy film, which was released in theaters on January 25.
