"Mona is an intriguing character, and portraying the character has been a joyous challenge. I am genuinely thrilled to be a part of it," said Mahfuz Ahmed with childlike glee, when talking about his film Prohelika which will hit the theatres this Eid-ul-Azha.

"Mona is an intriguing character, and portraying the character has been a joyous challenge. I am genuinely thrilled to be a part of it," said Mahfuz Ahmed with childlike glee, when talking about his film "Prohelika" which will hit the theatres this Eid-ul-Azha.

A household name from the 90's, the talented actor is making a triumphant return to the silver-screen after eight years through this film, directed by Chayanika Chowdhury. A meet-and-greet was arranged by the film's team at a private banquet in Gulshan.

The vivacious Shobnom Bubly could barely contain her excitement, exclaiming, "Arpa is a character you have to see on the big screen to truly appreciate. The story is gripping, and I have no doubt the audience will be completely amazed by the character!"

Adding to the colour, versatile actor Nasir Uddin Khan will take on a different avatar as Jamshed, a classical singer, in the film.

"Playing Jamshed has been a challenging and rewarding journey. The song, "Hridoy Diye" featured in the movie is close to my heart, and I can't wait for everyone to witness it on the big screen," Nasir said.

With Mahfuz Ahmed and Nasir Uddin Khan sharing the screen, their on-screen chemistry promises to be a sight to behold.

As we asked the actors about their experience of sharing the screen, Mahfuz leans in, praising Nasir's talent, "Nasir Uddin Khan is a natural-born actor. It's been an absolute pleasure sharing the screen with him. Together, we've cooked up something truly magical. Our performances, along with the entire cast, will leave an everlasting impact!"

But Nasir playfully interrupts, giving Mahfuz a wink, "Ah, Mahfuz bhai, you give me too much credit! It's an honor to share the screen with such a brilliant actor like you. Can't wait to witness the audience's response!"

Chiming into the conversation, Chayanika Chowdhury enthusiastically said, "In 'Prohelika,' everyone is a hero," Chayanika. "Each character plays a vital role in weaving this grand narrative. Trust me, we've created something truly remarkable together!"

The ensemble cast of "Prohelika" also includes renowned talents such as Shyamol Zakaria and Rashed Mamun Apu, who play pivotal roles in this film.

Shyamal says, "Though my role may be small, its significance cannot be overlooked. The audience will understand its impact when they witness 'Prohelika' on the big screen. Trust me, it's worth the watch!"

The crew promises to deliver not only on the acting and direction, but visuals and music as well. "The music for the film is outstanding, and people are already responding well," says the director. "I urge everyone to witness the beautiful cinematography and screenplay that we have pulled of, in theatres!", concluded an adamant Chayanika Chowdhury, unfazed by the hype of other films that her project would have to compete with. "I just know that you will love it".
