Ranbir Kapoor to book 'Adipurush' tickets for 10,000 underprivileged kids
In a heartwarming gesture, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has announced his plan to book 10,000 movie seats for underprivileged children to watch the highly-anticipated film "Adipurush." Directed by Om Raut, the epic theatrical release is set to hit cinemas on June 16.
The news was shared by renowned film industry analyst Taran Adarsh, who took to Twitter to reveal the philanthropic initiative.
In "Adipurush," Prabhas portrays the character of Raghava, while Kriti Sanon plays Janaki. The film also features Saif Ali Khan, who is married to Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir's cousin, in the role of Lankesh.
The director, Om Raut, had previously made a unique request to theaters to keep one seat vacant in honor of Lord Hanuman, as the belief goes that the deity is ever-present whenever the Ramayana, the epic tale on which the film is based, is referenced.
The recently released final trailer of "Adipurush" beautifully depicts the enchanting story from the Ramayana.
Prabhas, in a statement, expressed his excitement about portraying the character and the responsibility it entails, saying, "Every role and every character comes with its own challenges, but portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character from our epic, especially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love on our film."
