Salman Khan's latest dance track "Let's Dance Chotu Motu" from "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" has come under fire.

The Early Childhood Association has written an open letter to the film industry, urging them to cease praising the out-of-date nursery tunes in their films, and called out the song for its 'senseless rhymes.'

The song used classic nursery rhymes including Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Jack and Jill, and Humpty Dumpty with weird raps and lyrics voiced by Yo Yo Honey Singh and Neha Bhasin.

The Early Childhood Association (ECA) condemned the song through a written complaint.

"At a time when parents and schools are attempting to wean children from these senseless old rhymes, here comes a film that glorifies them! Salman Khan has a large fan base among children. It means that these meaningless rhymes will be played by mothers while feeding their children and at birthday parties," read the statement.

"The curriculum focuses on empathy, and yet you have songs like Humpty Dumpty and Jack and Jill who have fallen, and instead of feeling sad for them here they are all dancing and happy," the open letter said.

The letter also addresses how youngsters are being driven away from the idea of care and empathy from these age-old rhymes.

Salman Khan's "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" has gained around Rs 84 crores at the domestic box office.
