‘Shaaticup’ wins Best Series, Touqir Islam Best Director in Critics category

Mohammad Touqir Islam's directorial "Shaaticup" bagged the Best Series Award in the Critics category at the Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2022 tonight. The director also won this production's Best Director Award in the Critics category (pictured on the left).

Chorki's Redoan Rony accepted the award on behalf of "Shaaticup" tonight (pictured on the right).

The Chorki eight-episode production is a narco-thriller series focused on the themes of drug dealing and border crimes. The story portrays the lower echelons of the drug business in the Rajshahi region of Bangladesh. Fast chase scenes on foot and motorcycle rides are a cinematic experience that takes the audience into the world of drug trafficking. The lines are delivered in the Rajshahi Dialect.

"Shaaticup" stars Ahsabul Yamin Riad, Omar Masum, Amit Rudra, Najmus Saaqib, Sajia Khanom, Galib Sarder, Wasikul Islam Romit, Mahinur Rahman Khan, Mehdi Hasan Rumie, Akash bin Osama, Rifat Bin Sajid, Kazi Sushmin Afsana, Shiblee Noman, amongst others.
