Rafiath Rashid Mithila has recently captured the audience's attention after the release of Chorki's original web-series "Myself Allen Swapan". Everyone who saw Mithila's masterful portrayal of 'Shayla', could not help but praise the actor's excellent performance on-screen.

Speaking with The Daily Star, the actor shared her "Myself Allen Swapan" experience from Kolkata.

"Myself Allen Swapan is definitely a new experience for my career," said the actress. "Shihab Shaheen has narrated a unique story in this series." While engrossed in the role, the actress did not think that it would resonate with the audience as much. "I'm overwhelmed. It's a role that I will be remembering for the rest of my life."

‘Myself Allen Swapan’ breaks another record

Mithila was skeptical while choosing whether she would do the role. "When Shihab Shaheen narrated the script to me, I thought that this is Allen Swapan's story -- what was Shayla's role here? However, after reading the entire script, I realised that Shayla has a lot to do," shared the actress.  

"The director has pestered me a lot, which helped me become the character," laughed Mithila over the phone. "After I signed, he would ask me about my thoughts on the role every week, and how much homework I was doing on her."

The actor shared that there are many ups and downs in Myself Allen Swapan, and 'Shayla' is a character who goes through a lot of inner turmoil. Mithila shared, "I have portrayed many characters throughout my career, but this is the first time I have got such a character. I have given my 100 percent for the role. For days, I immersed myself in becoming and living inside Shayla."

‘Myself Allen Swapan’ spinoff coming this Eid

Speaking about her experience during the shoot of the series, the actor said, "I think when you have a good team and a good co-artiste, the work becomes easy. Shayla is not a girl brought up in the city. However, she is quite a clever girl."

"Moreover, my dialect in the series isn't one of our usual regional dialects," claims Mithila. "It's a bit similar to the regional dialect of Cumilla. I can speak in a lot of our regional dialects, but this is the first time I have spoken this one."

After the series was aired, renowned actor Suborna Mustafa penned a post on social media, praising Mithila for her performance.

As a fan of Suborna, this has a huge significance for Mithila. "This is a big achievement for me. Because I am a huge Suborna Mustafa fan. Since then, most artistes have commented positively about Allen Swapan. I couldn't help but smile at their praise. My love will always be with them," said the actress.

"The actors and director of the series were at their best. That is why I am really satisfied after acting in the role. There aren't many stories like this in showbiz anymore," concluded Mithila.
