‘Shurongo’, ‘Prohelika’ get uncut censor certificate
With Eid-ul-Adha's approach, the entertainment industry has also decided to join in the rush of the festivities. Despite the reported numbers of Eid films that have been promised to hit the cinemas, only a few might actually make it past the hurdles.
"Shurongo" and "Prohelika" are two upcoming films that have gained un-cut release clearance from the Bangladesh Censor Board. The news was confirmed to the media by a member of the Censor Board, producer Khorshed Alam Khosru, on Friday.
He mentioned, On Thursday (June 15), board members viewed the two films, and were impressed by the visuals. On that note, the uncut certificate was granted to the films, which might reach the concerned individuals by next Sunday (June 18).
Khorshed Alam Khosru exhibited positive responses towards both the films, adding praises on the leads' effort to pull of their characters.
Helmed by Chorki and Alpha-I, Raihan Rafi's "Shurongo" is all set to have its OTT and theatrical release this coming Eid-ul-Adha. The film stars Afran Nisho, Tama Mirza, Mostafa Monwar, and Shahiduzzaman Selim, amongst others.
On the other hand, "Prohelika", directed by Chayanika Chowdhury and starring popular actors Mahfuz Ahmed and Shobnom Bubly, gears up for its grand release this upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, with the release of the film's teaser earlier yesterday.
