Tomorrow, the Bangladesh national cricket team will be facing India at the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which began on October 16. Bangladeshis from all walks of life are passionately following the Tiger's journey in the tournament. Celebrities are no different, and they eagerly are waiting for the match, despite many of their hectic schedules.

Bangladesh beat Netherlands by nine runs on October 24. However, the team then lost the game against South Africa on October 27, by 104 runs. Fans were disappointed by the latter result. However, in their match against Zimbabwe, the team scored 150 runs, winning by a margin of three runs, which brought joy to the hearts of fans once again.

With the match against India up next, The Daily Star spoke with a few of the artistes, who love cricket, to see what they have to say about the upcoming match.

Siam Ahmed

I have no expectation at all: Siam Ahmed
I have a tendency to get involved in the game too much, which results in disappointment when the team doesn't perform well. This is why, I have decided not to keep any expectation this time around. One thing that I strongly feel is, that our Tigers are trying to form a new team, and we should cut them some slack and support them. Personally, I have really enjoyed Afif's performance. I don't have any prediction for tomorrow's match, I just hope they give their best.

Mousumi Mou

I think Bangladesh's opponent is their fear: Mousumi Mou
I believe Shakib's team will perform well in the next match. Shakib Al Hasan recently commented, 'If we can beat India and Pakistan, it'll be considered 'an upset'. So, I am sure he wants to make this a reality.

In my opinion, Bangladesh's greatest enemy is their own fear. If they are able to overcome this fear and play against India without pressure, then Shakib and his team will be able to win. India has been beaten by Bangladesh in the past, so I am sure they can do it again.

Ashfaque Nipun

Its high time the Bangladesh team should be improving: Ashfaque Nipun
Bangladesh won their last two games by a small margin. If this was 10 years back, we could have accepted it. However, right now, this performance is disappointing. Its high time the Bangladesh national cricket team (men) should be improving. If we look at Afghanistan, they have formed a team which rarely encounters a loss that is an 'upset'. Taking into account the privilege that our men's cricket team has received, they should be better. When you're a professional, you should have that attitude in you.

I believe if Shakib's team can boost their mental strength and confidence, they can do a lot better. As a captain, he knows what his team can do, and I feel he didn't say anything wrong by saying: "If we can beat India and Pakistan, it'll be considered an 'upset'!"

As a nation we are extremely emotional, even the smallest moments of hope make us forget the failures of the past. This is why the audience will always support the Bangladesh cricket team, because the country watches cricket and it is the greatest inspiration we can get. At the end of the day, we cheer for the Tigers and they should consider this a blessing. Bangladeshis put everything else on hold to watch our national team and support them. So, our cricketers should not take the fans for granted any longer.

Sariful Razz

It will be a thrilling match: Sariful Razz
Every time Bangladesh plays, my expectation begins to rise, and I hope that they will be able to make it, yet, we have been disappointed on multiple occasions. I am really excited about the upcoming contest, as I feel it will be a thrilling match. The new team deserves to be praised, and I feel that they need some time to adjust. Once they do, they will surely create some real 'Damal'. Throughout the tournament, I have been impressed by Afif and Taskin's performances.

Neel Hurerzahan

A win against India is tough, but not impossible: Neel Hurerzahan
For a long time, we have been disappointed by the overall performances of the Tigers. The beginning of this tournament was also disappointing. However, the match with Zimbabwe gave us some rays of hope. Personally, I am sad that Shakib is not getting runs. Seeing him not able to perform breaks my heart. I hope that Shakib will make a comeback tomorrow. A win against India is tough, but not impossible.

Khairul Basar

I want to enjoy the game, that's all: Khairul Basar
Although I will be busy with shooting, I will still try and catch the game in between. My only expectation, is that I want to enjoy the game. I have faith in the national team, and I believe they can make it to the main stage. Our Tigers have proved themselves before, and if we can keep up this confidence and fight, then we can do it again.
