The star-studded ICT Division-Channel i Digital Media Award 2022 took place on Saturday at the grand premises of the Channel i office. It was an unforgettable experience filled with spectacular performances and emotional moments that touched everyone at the event. 

The programme was hosted by Neel Hurerzahan and it honoured the best of the talents and noted artistes on digital platforms in 20 categories. 

Konal, Liza, Luipa, Atiya Anisha, Opu, and Mezbah Bappy serenaded the audiences with their beautiful renditions of songs while Prarthana Fardin Dighi and Sinthia Yasmin kept the audience entertained with their energetic dance moves from the stage. 

The "Punorjonmo" victory streak continued as Vicky Zahed was named Best Director and Mehazabien was named Best Actress for "Punorjonmo 3". 

Mehazabien Chowdhury created history by winning three awards within 24 hours. She won Best Actress in Meril-Prothom Alo Awards, the Channel i Digital Media Awards, and the Babisas Award. 

The Best Actor Award ( TV series) was a tie between Ziaul Farooque Apurba for "Notun Kore Shuru" and Yash Rohan for "Mimmi".

Abdullah Al Sentu won the Best Rising Star (Male) award for his outstanding performances in "Punorjonmo", "Bunker Boy", "Shuklopokkho" and "Myself Allen Swapan". 

On the other hand, Farhana Ahmed proved her acting prowess in projects like "Sodor Ghater Tiger" and "Shobder Khowab" from the anthology project "Jaago Bahey".

Apart from this, Jahan Sultana won the Best Dramatist Award for "Bhanga Putul".

In terms of OTT, Chorki project "Pett Kara Shaw" was named the Best web-series while Nuhash Humayun was given the Best Director Award for it.

Noted artistes Afzal Hossain (Bodh), and Afsana Mimi (Nikhoj) won the award for Best Actor and Actresses, respectively, in web-series. 

Under the web- film category, Best Web-Film Award went to "Muntasir" while the Best Director was given to Shihab Shaheen for "Mayashalik". 

The Best Actor Award was a tie between Manoj Pramanik for "Muntasir" and Chanchal Chowdhury for "Dui Diner Duniya." The Best Actress was presented to the gorgeous Shobnom Bubly for "Taan".

In terms of content creation, Taneem Rahman Angshu won the award for Best Music Video for "Abar Hariye Jai". Best YouTube Content Creator went to Nadir on The Go for "The Dangerous Jungle Adventures in Nepal".

Best Facebook Content Creator was given to Mohsinul Hakim for "Lobon Jole Jibon Jole" and Best Education content was handed over to Khalid Farhan for "Biography of Putin".

ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present as the chief guest of the programme. 

Channel i's Director and News Head, Shykh Seraj, Prokriti O Jibon Foundation's Chairman Muqueed Majumder Babu, and one of Channel i's directors, Zahiruddin Mahmud Mamun were present at the glamorous event. 

The Channel i Digital Media Award was given to content produced from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022. 

The winners in the 20 categories were determined by the jury board. The esteemed jury members consisted of noted personalities including – Masum Reza, Matia Banu Shuku, Brindabon Das, Kaushik Sankar Das, Ataur Rahman, Dilara Zaman, Anupam Hayat, Nurul Alam Antique, Motin Rahman, Tauquir Ahmed, Giasuddin Selim, Chayanika Chowdhury, among others.
