‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ actor Ghanshyam Nayak no more
Ghanshyam Nayak, fondly known for playing the role of Nattu Kaka in the popular Indian series "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah", is no more. The talented artiste passed away on Sunday (October 3) in Mumbai, following a long battle with cancer. He was 77.
Last year, the actor underwent surgery after eight knots were found in his neck. He had started taking chemotherapy sessions after getting diagnosed with cancer.
"Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah" director Malav Rajda shared her fond memories of the actor, with a heartfelt post on Instagram. Furthermore, the show's creator Asit Kumarr Modi shared that Ghanshyam Nayak's passing away is a loss personally to him, as well as to the series.
Ghanshyam Nayak had more than 100 Gujarati and Hindi films to his credit. He starred in over 350 television shows.
He was getting treated for cancer, however, his illness never stopped him from working. The actor had also shared that his last wish was to die with makeup on. Besides "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah", he was known for his roles in shows like "Khichdi" and "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai".
