Popular actress Tasnia Farin's phone was stolen on Wednesday in the middle of filming a web series titled "Oshomoye", directed by Kajal Arefin Ome at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC), leaving the entire shooting unit, including Farin herself, in a state of shock and disbelief.

Tasnia Farin lodged a GD (General Diary) with the Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station of the capital over the case of her stolen phone.

This dramatic incident happened around 3:30 pm, leaving those involved in the shoot baffled and raising questions about the security measures at BFDC.

While the actress was preparing to have lunch, she was engaged in a conversation with the media under the shade of trees near the administration building of FDC. Seemingly blending in with the crew members, a person wearing a pink shirt was seen around Tasnia Farin. Even Farin assumed that this individual was part of the shooting unit. The entire episode was caught on CCTV footage, where the suspect could be seen lurking around Farin right from the beginning. Believing the person to be part of the crew, Farin handed over her phone to him as she continued her interaction with media.

However, within a mere five minutes, she realised that her precious mobile phone had been swiped right from her grasp.

Expressing her disappointment, Farin remarked in the media, "BFDC is supposed to be a secure shooting location, but it seems that even stars are not immune to harassment here. Is this what we should expect from a shooting location? It's disheartening to see outsiders entering freely, despite security personnel at the entrance. What I've observed is that the safety of those who come here to work is not guaranteed."

Farin also lamented the irresponsibility and negligence displayed by BFDC in the wake of this theft. "My phone was stolen, and I witnessed no immediate action or regret from BFDC. Shockingly, one of the BFDC workers casually mentioned that such incidents occur frequently and suggested I file a general diary (GD). It's perplexing that, despite the theft happening right under their noses, BFDC failed to take any responsibility. A truly surprising turn of events."
