Teaser for Hansal Mehta’s ‘Scam 2003’ out
Noted director Hansal Mehta's upcoming web-series, "Scam 2003: The Telgi Story", surprised fans yesterday by dropping in a thrilling teaser of the series. The project, which counts as a sequel to Mehta's previous production, "Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story" (2020), has already created quite a buzz on social media.
The web-series was created by Hansal Mehta and directed by Tushar Hiranandani.
Taking to his Instagram account, the director shared the teaser for the upcoming series, captioning, "The game was big and the player…The story of one of India's biggest scams by Abdul Karim Telgi, which shocked the nation with its unimaginable scale. Streaming on 2nd September, only on Sony LIV."
The teaser gives a glimpse into the life of Abdul Karim Telgi, an ordinary man who has no desire to earn money. He believes that money shouldn't be earned but "made". Telgi had earned over 30 thousand crores via making fake stamp papers, a scam that spanned across 18 states of India.
"Scam 2003: The Telgi Story" features Gagan Dev Riar, Aniruddh Roy, and Satyam Srivastava, among others. The web-series is set to be released on September 2 on streaming platform Sony Liv.
