The film’s release itself is a big deal: Tariq Anam Khan
Renowned actor Tariq Anam Khan starrer latest film, "Makeup" directed by Anonno Mamun, has finally hit theatres today. The movie will be screened in 23 cinemas across the country.
"This film was held up by the censorship process for three years, but today it has finally been released. That alone makes it an incredibly special day for all of us," said Tariq Anam Khan to The Daily Star.
"It is significant for 'Makeup' to see the light of day after such a long wait. Our director, Anonno Mamun, always envisioned this film to be shown on the big screen. That's his forte—he's a filmmaker through and through."
He continued, "This is a joyful moment for me as an actor. I feel a deep sense of satisfaction. This film was created to entertain, and I'm confident that the audience will thoroughly enjoy it."
The actor revealed that a significant portion of "Makeup" was filmed abroad at the prestigious Ramoji Film City in India, with additional scenes shot locally in Bangladesh.
The seasoned actor then shared his thoughts on the film's journey to release, saying, "The censor board recently approved 'Makeup' for release, which was a long-awaited step. Our greatest reward will be if audiences come to the cinemas to watch it. After all, we make films for the people."
The storyline of "Makeup" is deeply intertwined with the world of cinema, he explained. "The film delves into the highs and lows of the film industry, shedding light on the lives of the people within it. It's a story that reflects both the struggles and triumphs of those behind the glamorous world."
In "Makeup", Tariq Anam Khan portrays the character of Shahbaz Khan, while Roshan and Nipa deliver compelling performances in two other key roles.
