Three Bangladeshi films selected for Busan International Film Festival

The curtains are set to rise on October 4 in South Korea, marking the commencement of the 28th edition of the esteemed Busan International Film Festival. This year, three films from Bangladesh have grabbed the spotlight and secured a place at this prestigious event.
Agontuk (The Stranger), directed by Biplob Sarkar and Boli-The Wrestler, directed by Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, will compete in the festival's 'New Currents competition section'. The Wrestler explores the sory of an old fisherman, who challenges a wrestling champion to combat, while, The Stranger tells a coming-of-age tale revolving around gender-identity.
Additionally, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's directorial Autobiography will compete in the 'Jiseok section'. Something Like an Autobiography showcases the real-life pair blurring the lines between fact and fiction.
The Busan International Film Festival will continue till October 13.
