Tollywood's Chiranjeet Chakraborty to play detective Bhaduri Moshai
Bengali literature's iconic detective characters continue to flourish both on the big and small screens in West Bengal. From the evergreen Feluda to the astute Byomkesh Bakshi, the realm of on-screen detectives has expanded to enigmatic figures like Gogol, Kiriti Roy, and Shobor. Now, a new addition is all set to captivate audiences' hearts – Charuchandra Bhaduri, also known as Bhaduri Moshai.
Reports have surfaced indicating that the noted Tollywood actor Chiranjeet Chakraborty will play the character of Bhaduri Moshai in an upcoming web series. The character, inspired by the pages of Bengali poet and novelist Nirendranath Chakraborty.
The series is set to commence filming after the coming Puja.
Bhaduri Moshai, alias Charu Chandra Bhaduri, isn't your conventional detective. This fictional character, a former Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer, solves mysteries in his post-retirement phase. Operating under the banner of 'Charu Bhaduri Investigation', his discreet detective agency is headquartered in Bangalore.
Chiranjeet Chakraborty, recently completed the filming for the movie "Hema Malini", where he plays the character of Dharmendra, a physician. The film's narrative is set to unfold with Debolina Dutta in a significant role alongside Chiranjeet.
