Why did the censor board halt Raihan Rafi’s ‘Noor’?
Raihan Rafi is celebrating the success of his recent directorial project "Poran", which has been earning accolades since its release.
"Noor", another one of his projects, was submitted to the Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB). The board suggested a re-edit. According to the jury members, they liked the plot of the film, however, due to sound issues, they could not watch the film properly. Sohanur Rahman Sohan, one of the jury members, told several media outlets that the production was not dubbed properly, and it seemed 'unedited'.
Produced by Shapla Media, the film features Arifin Shuvoo and Jannatul Ferdous Oishee.
Raihan Rafi told The Daily Star that he will work on the issues, and re-submit it where necessary. "The film has not been announced banned, the censor board is there to check the facts -- this is normal," shares the director."Although I have not received any notice as of yet, upon getting the papers on my hand, I will work on it. For now, I am busy with 'Poran'".
Besides starring in the lead role, Shuvoo is also the executive producer of the film.
