Another Gazipur Safari Park official transferred
Another official of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Gazipur was transferred in connection with the deaths of animals at the park.
Md Sarwar Hossain, wildlife supervisor of the park was transferred to Rajshahi, reports our Gazipur correspondent quoting Md Rafiqul Islam, newly appointed officer-in-charge (acting) of the park.
Earlier, project director, officer-in-charge and veterinary surgeon of the park were withdrawn over the deaths of 11 zebras, a tiger and lioness in the last month in the park.
Meanwhile, seven staffers were appointed at the park to mitigate the crisis of manpower at the park, the officer said, adding that the authority will increase the manpower gradually.
A probe committee is working to investigate the deaths of animals at the park.
