IUB annual club carnival being organised
The annual Club Carnival of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) was inaugurated on October 23 at its own campus in Bashundhara residential area in Dhaka.
Professor Milan Pagon, Vice Chancellor (Acting) of IUB along with faculty and management member inaugurated the celebration, according to a press release.
After the formal inauguration, Professor Pagon visited the stalls set up by the clubs which exhibited their creativity, the press release added.
On day two of the festival, a colorful cultural show was performed by IUB students.
The main attraction has been kept for the last day of the festival.
On Friday, October 25 renowned singer James will host the IUB stage in the evening. The program will start at 3.00 pm.
A total of 36 IUB clubs including: Art Club, Book Club, Cricket Club, Debate Club, Environment Club, Film Club, Football Club, IEEE, IAC, Green Planet, Music Club, Photography Club, Table Tennis Club and Theatre Club participated in the carnival.
The clubs were decorated highlighting their respective theme. New members were recruited for different clubs during the carnival.
The Division of Student Affairs (DoSA) at IUB organised the three-day long annual event.
