1 Covid-19 death in 24hrs, positivity rate 0.44%

One person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in the country is currently 29,443 and the death rate stands at 1.44 percent.

At least 10 new coronavirus cases were reported during this period.

The daily positivity rate is 0.44 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.36 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,37,578, the release added.

A total of 2,286 samples were tested across the country during this period. At least 261 Covid-19 patients have recovered in this time.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,93,434 and the recovery rate at 97.84 percent, said the release.

The lone deceased was a woman, aged between 81-90, added the release.
