12 die of dengue in 24 hrs, 27,11 hospitalised

At least twelve people died of dengue and 2,711 others were hospitalised across the country in the last 24 hours.
All the deaths were reported in Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. With the new fatalities, this year's death toll from the disease hit 273 while the total number of cases rose to 57,127.
Of this year's cases, 31,461 were reported in Dhaka.
Among new cases during the last 24 hours, 1,130 are in Dhaka.
A total of 47,529 dengue patients were released from hospitals across the country this year.
The total number of deaths in dengue was 281 last year while the total number of cases was 62,382, of whom 23,162 were outside Dhaka, according to the DGHS.
