At least two dengue patients died, one of whom was from outside Dhaka, in the last 24 hours till yesterday morning.

The total number of deaths rose to 1,688, of which 972 were from Dhaka, according to the DGHS.

With 196 new dengue cases, the total number of cases this year rose to 3,19,671, of which 1,09,616 were from Dhaka.

A total of 1,337 dengue patients were still undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the country. Among the total, 3,16,646 patients have already been released.

A total of 62,382 patients were hospitalised last year while the total number of deaths was 281.
