Dengue fever: 9 more die, 2,292 hospitalised in 24 hours

Nine more dengue patients died in different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning.
Among them, eight died in Dhaka hospitals.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. With the new deaths, the total number of fatalities in dengue this year rose to 176, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
At least 2,292 dengue patients were hospitalised during the same period. Of them, 1,064 were hospitalised in Dhaka.
With the new cases, total number of dengue cases rose to 32,977.
Some 7,175 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment across the country.
Total number of deaths in dengue was 281 last year while the total number of cases was 62,382, according to the DGHS.
