Inform local admin or police before distribution of relief: PHQ
The Police Headquarters (PHQ) today called upon all to inform the local administration or police before distributing any kind of relief to ensure physical distancing.
PHQ came up with the call after it observed physical distancing was not being followed properly during some food distribution programmes.
"In the current coronavirus outbreak situation, many people and service organisations are standing beside the common people with the necessary food delivery services," said Sohel Rana, assistant inspector general (Media & PR) of PHQ.
In many cases, public gathering is taking place during the distribution of food and services, and the physical distancing directive is not followed properly, which is very risky in the present context, AIG Rana said.
"Therefore, we are requesting all to take all necessary assistance by informing local authority and the police before organising any relief and service delivery work," he added.
