Major (retd) Sinha murder: Accused surrenders before court, sent to jail
An accused in Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder case has surrendered before a Cox's Bazar court and was sent to jail today.
District Sessions and Judges Court's Judge Md Ismail sent Sagar Deb, former constable of Teknaf Police Station, to jail after he surrendered before the court and submitted a bail petition around 1:00pm.
The court also set June 27 for hearing the bail petition, our local correspondent reports quoting public prosecutor Faridul Alam.
At least 15 accused in the murder case including Sagar are now in jail.
Accused Sagar went into hiding since the murder took place at an APBn checkpoint on the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf highway on July 31 last year.
