Valentine's Day: Banish hostility
Every year 'Saint Valentine's Day' is observed on February 14 through exchanging messages of affection. A lot of stories are in circulation centering the Valentine's Day origin. To me, the episode between St. Valentinus and the blind girl Julia seems original and carry enough evidences to accept it. Julia who had been blind since birth got back her sight while learning wisdom in a jail in Rome where St. Valentinus was imprisoned. St. Valentinus taught her among other things about God and how to pray for God's blessings.
In fact, Valentine's Day denotes love for God, humanity and nature. So on this day we would exchange/share universal love and affection. Let our love, sympathy and concern for the suffering humanity be spread and hatred and hostilities be banished on this Valentine's Day.
