4 ways to use leftover rice
So, maybe you have overcooked. Happens all the time. But what to do afterwards?
Rather than throwing away the extra rice, here are 4 ways you can easily use that leftover rice to make a delicious snack/meal.
SOUP TO THE RESCUE
Every single night we do not feel like having the same meal over and over again. Sometimes we experiment with nontraditional items like soups, sushi or pasta. Our suggestion would be to try home-made soups occasionally, and by this we do not mean the readymade packets. Just mix your favourite ingredients with chicken stock and voila! You have your nutritious meal of the day. It might take a little bit of time but the results are worth the effort. To add a bit more weight to your prepared meal, add in leftover rice, when the cooking is almost complete.
EASY SNACKS
When we think of rice the only thing that comes to mind are major meals. But rice can be eaten as snack as well. You can use leftover rice from the previous day to concoct delicious deep fried rice snacks for the evening.
RICE PANCAKES
There are not many people in the world who don't love pancakes. Given this fact, you can try experimenting with the regular to spice up the pancake obsession further. Add in generous amount of butter to leftover rice and make a brand-new and exciting batter. The end result will be pretty crispy pancakes that will help you get through the day without feeling the hunger pangs for a moment. This is a relatively simple recipe, especially for people who don't want to spend a lot time in the kitchen.
BURRITOS GALORE
Ask anyone about dealing with leftover rice, there's a high chance they would ask you to make fried rice out of it. But as much as we really appreciate the idea, we also like to try out new recipes and burritos maybe the easiest solution. Wrap up your leftovers in home made tortillas and dip it in your favourite sauces to enjoy a meal that is fulfilling and delightful at the same time.
