The big blue bird Kuwait Airways soars
Competing in a highly-flooded market, Kuwait Airways knew it had to do something different to capture the market's attention. This was not something that would happen overnight. In fact, a total re-imagination was a must. And so Kuwait Airways went to it.
COME FOR THE COMFORT
Overhauling their fleet was the first step. Discarding their old planes, Kuwait Airways began procuring top-of-the-line Boeing 777s, a majestic sight to behold. The 777s are now flying directly from Dhaka, with 12 weekly flights being operated. For perhaps the first time in the Bangladesh market, passengers are being provided the best aircrafts at average ages of a few months old. Not only are the aircrafts brand new, they also come equipped with the finest apparatus.
The tool of comfort for a journey is of course the seating and how spacious it is. Around 290 seats make up the economy class. Decked out in dark blue and off-white, the seats themselves are inviting. Plus, there are fewer than most others would have preferred, meaning both leg space and space to manoeuvre.
But the true coupe de grace has to be the business class.
Laid out in 2-2-2 configuration, the professional dark blue fabric does not dissuade one from the assurance of comfort. Split into two sections, the business class comfortably seats 36. Given the configuration, travellers find ample space whether they are seated on the aisle or next to the window. The leg room can be summed up as perfection.
It also comes with the whole works: lie-flat seating models, 750 hours of on-board entertainment and gaming on-board with the Panasonic EX3 in-flight entertainment system and plenty of space to rest your arms without worrying anyone else.
The seat itself turns into your bed at the push. That's really where the privacy partition comes into play, as you become secure in your own nook away from prying eyes.
The Business class also a storage to stow your things.
A bit more exclusive are the royal suite seats: eight individual enclosed seats. Side walls ensure privacy. And at the competitive rates on offer, they are an absolute steal!
TOO MUCH BAGGAGE INDEED
The Blue Bird doesn't leave you in a panic about exceeding baggage limits, owing to its generous allowances. In no other flight will you be rest as assured knowing that you won't have to part with any of your suitcases.
A two-piece baggage system is allowed for economy classes, with each baggage given a weight limit of 23KG. That's a whopping 46KG!
For business class, the allowance per baggage rises to 32 kg, meaning you could pack for a month-long trip, without worrying even once.
If you are a first class passenger, then get ready to pack even more. With a generous allowance of 32KG for two pieces, plus a promotional offer of one more baggage, free of cost!
WORK UP AN APPETITE
Journeys are tiring, right? They can also leave you extremely famished. But thanks to Kuwait Airway's attention to this detail, you will now be savouring your journey, instead of being famished during it.
In a bold mix of Arabic, Gulf, Asian, Indian and European flavours, the airlines offer a menu that is fit for every palate, whether it requires lamb biryani or chicken malai korma. And then there's the dessert to go with all of that!
If that hasn't pampered you enough, reach into your goody bag produced by the US Aigner cosmetics and accessories brand, which comes with flight socks and eye mask, plus deodorant, refreshing tissue, lip balm, body lotion, folding hairbrush, square mirror, toothbrush kit, shoehorn and earplugs.
