The Chocolate Room opens in Dhaka

Indulging sweet gluttony for chocoholics, The Chocolate Room launched its flagship café in Gulshan 1's Abacus Restaurant on Thursday, 3 October, 2019. Located right on the ground floor of the same building, the chocolatier caters exclusively to chocolate connoisseurs all over the city and gives them an escape into the sinful delight that is chocolate!

An international franchise with 300+ cafes around the globe, Dhaka's very own branch was inaugurated by famed Bollywood film actress Warina Hussain. Upon her association with chocolate, Hussain shared, "Ever since I started modelling, the main thing was to lose weight and look good. At times, it gets in your head and you start judging yourself; it's not an easy task. Since I love chocolate, I wanted to promote something that I love, for a change. Out of all the things I have tasted here at The Chocolate Room, I already have my favourite, the chocolate bomb!"

Lingamallu Chaitanya Kumar, Co-founder and CMD, was next to share his thoughts on the launch. "We come into the category of chocolate café and we pride ourselves on being one of the best places for chocolate lovers in Bangladesh," he said.

Sameer Hossain, Managing Director of The Chocolate Room, and Yaju Vaghela, Director of The Chocolate Room International PTY LTD, were other attendees gracing the event. Also at the ceremony was Tahsin Karina, host for the evening.

Hailing all the way from Australia, The Chocolate Room began in 2006 to only become a global franchise. Their pride and joy is the chocolate cuddle cup, which is hot chocolate cup fit to cradle in your palms of your hands; an absolute winter delight! More on the menu are chocolate delicacies like brownies, sundaes and even fusion food like burgers and sandwiches.

The Chocolate Room's latest café in Bangladesh marks the opening of the brand's 311th store. The Dhaka chapter offers various flavours of Italian Hot Chocolate, Chocolate Fondues, Chocolate Melting Pots and a variety of chocolate cakes, waffles and Belgian chocolates among others. It has a seating capacity of approximately 72 people.
