Ujjwala Poth Prodarshak 2018

Ujjwala recently stepped into its first year of success, and celebrated with a day-long programme, Ujjwala Poth Prodarshak 2018, which paid tribute to all the potential and existing women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh who are working harder to remove the gaps in gender prospects.

Ujjwala Poth Prodarshak 2018 was held on 14 November, 2018 at Jatio Chitrashala Milanayatan, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

Shafiqul Islam, managing director of Bangladesh SME foundation, was invited as the chief guest. Zerina Asgar, Bangladesh's leading beauty expert, and Mostafizur Rahman, the president of Bangladesh Technical Board were the guests of honour for the event. Zerina Asgar and Kanak Chapa, leading artists of Bangladesh were awarded with the life time achievement award. The best students of Ujjwala from 6 different divisions of Bangladesh were also awarded with the "Ami Ujjwala" award.

In the second half of the programme, Ujjwala unveiled their revolutionary free beauty app for the beauty conscious.

They followed it up with the Ujjwala Beauty Expert Contest (Style Icon 2018) where 30 selected and immensely talented beauticians, who were trained under Ujjwala, showcased their makeup and hair-styling skills.

The judges of the contest included, Nilufar Khondkar; Shampa Reza for the category of haircut, colour and styling; and Tootli Rahman, Lipi Khandkar, Naheen Kazi, and Sadia Islam Mou to name a few.
