Le Meridien unlocks Dhaka with First Night Celebrations
Over 500 luminaries from political, business and the art world gathered together to experience Le Meridien Dhaka's signature programs, combined with local arts and culture.
The Honourable Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism of Bangladesh, Rashed Khan Menon presided over the proceedings as the chief guest.
The city's largest upscale hotel, Le Meridien's first night celebrations served not only to highlight the hotel's many features but also styled itself as a true gathering of art enthusiasts and creative minds, all who congregated to inspire and celebrate Bangladesh's rich cultural experiences.
"We are excited to unlock the latest destination of Le Meridien in Dhaka through the First Night celebrations, bringing a passion for contemporary arts to life amid a bustling city," said Dilip Puri, Managing Director, India and Regional Vice President, South Asia, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide.
Guests to the event were also introduced to Le Meridien Hub, the innovative interpretation of the traditional lobby. The Hub showcased various art installations, including Le Meridien Arrival artwork, an achromatic wooden masterpiece featuring the aerial view of Dhaka City's cross-section.
Following the opening ceremony on the rooftop ballroom, guests were then treated to a lively performance by popular folk band, Joler Gaan. A gourmet spread featuring signature dishes from the hotel's six dining venues was also one of the highlights. It was truly a night to remember, further enhanced by the presence of 3C Discovery Tour through which the guests could take virtual tours of some of the city's most famous locations.
Two kilometeres away from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Le Meridien Dhaka offers 304 guest rooms and suites and features French brand's signature amenities and destination inspired moments of discovery.
