Platinum Lounge, a one-of-its-kind world class lounge and restaurant set in the budding metropolitan of Kumar Para, Sylhet, has won the prestigious Curry Life Award in the category of "International Hospitality Award 2019-20." The award was announced at the 10th ceremonial event of the series, which took place in in the opulent ballroom of London Hilton on Park Lane hotel, United Kingdom.

It is the first international award Platinum Lounge has received since the establishment began operations only seven months ago. It was also the only establishment based in Bangladesh to have received the award in this year's event. 

The lounge's Director Musleh Ahmed received the award from Lord Karan Faridoon Bilmoria, Baron Bilmoria of Chelsea, CBE, DL, FCA.

The Curry Life Awards, which has been annually organised and hosted for the past decade by UK culinary magazine "Curry Life," reward and recognise individuals and establishments that represent the very best of British Curry Industry by demonstrating innovation and inspiration through their work. This esteemed event was attended by distinguished guests such as Honourable Member of Parliament Rushanara Ali of the British Labour Party alongside various other dignitaries of British society. Also present during the ceremony were Platinum Lounge Directors R I Choudhury Shahad, Nuruzzaman, Babul Akhtar, Shafique Uddin, Bashit Khan, Israk Ali, Sadaqur Rahman Choudhury, and Shahidul Islam.
