What is your style mantra?

I like playing with colours. That's my style mantra.

Who is your favourite star icon in Bangladesh?

My favourite star icon is inarguably SM Sultan.

Who is your favourite fashion designer?

My wife is a fashion designer, and I love wearing the clothes she designs. So, I would have to say she's my favourite fashion designer.

What is your regular wear like?

For an everyday attire, I wear loose trousers and shirts. I always wear a hat to complete my outfit. I prefer tailoring my own clothes, rather than buying ready-made ones. 

What is your general party-wear like?

Like I mentioned earlier, I always wear loose clothes, whether I am staying at home, going out to run an errand or even attending a party. I also love wearing colourful lungis, which I sometimes have custom-made.

What are your favourite accessories?

Colourful watches are my absolute favourites. I often paint the dial of a watch, and draw the motif of a bird inside.

What is a must-have in your wardrobe?

Hats are definitely a must-have in my wardrobe.

What is a fashion trend you always avoid?

As an artist, I have developed my own sense of style. Fashion is not limited to the clothes that a person wears; fashion is also defined by the way a person talks, the way they walk and their behavior towards others. So, the only fashion trends I avoid are ones that don't suit me personally. I always try to be my own person.

What fashion trend would you say is your favourite?

I don't follow any fashion trend. I rather wear clothes I feel comfortable in.

What would be a fashion message you would like to give to the readers?

One should always keep in mind their background, their history and their traditions when they wear something. It's important to stay true to one's own likes and dislikes, and this is also applicable when it comes to fashion. I would like to advise everyone to wear clothes that they feel comfortable in, rather than following the people around them. The way we dress gives people an insight into our culture and background. For instance, the way we dress when we go abroad is a way for us to represent our country. These are a few things we should always keep in mind whenever we choose our outfits.
