Manchester City were confirmed as Premier League champions for the fifth time in six seasons on Saturday without even having to kick a ball after second-placed Arsenal's challenge ended in defeat away at Nottingham Forest. Arsenal, who enjoyed an eight-point lead over City as recently as mid-March, needed at least a point to stay mathematically in the hunt, but went down 1-0. City players celebrated wildly after being confirmed as champions for a third consecutive campaign. The City squad watched the clash together, with their reaction to the full-time whistle being filmed by their media team. Sharing a video of their celebrations on Twitter, the players could be seen sitting down as they anxiously waited for the whistle to go. And as referee Anthony Taylor sounded the end of the game, the players jumped for joy. Jack Grealish, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake and Rodri could all be seen revelling in the celebrations, as they embraced and danced around the room.
