Hours after several journalists were barred at different polling centres, Election Commissioner Md Shah Nawaz said the media persons can carry on their election duties without any obstruction.

“I have directed the law enforcers to allow the media men to discharge their duties without any hassle,” the commissioner told reporters at his Election Commission Secretariat office around 10:30am.

He visited about 15-20 polling centers and said voting is being done peacefully everywhere except for one centre at Shuritola Primary School where polls has been suspended due to an unwanted reasons, he added.
