The city got back its natural facet within the evening of the Eid day as 3,000 cleaners were engaged in cleaning activities, said Shafiqul Mannan Siddique, the chief Conservancy Officer of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC).
The city dwellers mainly chose tourist spots in the city and outskirts like Patenga sea beach, Anwara Parky sea beach, Foy's Lake Fantasy Kingdom, Chittagong Zoo, Butterfly Park and different parks.
Many people enjoyed the natural beauty of Central Railway Building area during the vacation along with their family members. A lot of couples were seen enjoying rides on boats in the river Karnaphuli.

But the Eid for the rickshaw-pullers and the staff of different vehicles like buses, improvised four wheeler passenger vehicles, auto-rickshaws and auto-tempo was different.
Md Yasin, a rickshawpuller, said he had to pull the rickshaw even on the Eid day as he lives a hand-to-mouth existance. “I do not have enough money to take rest or have a vacation as I have to constantly think about maintaining the day-to-day expenses of my family,” he said.
However, he did go round the city streets taking his wife and children on his rickshaw in the afternoon of the Eid day. “Despite my all limitations I feel happy whenever I can do something to bring amusement to my family members,” Yasin added.
Prabir Barua, a staff of a privately owned organisation, said he had to attend office before the Eid day till 10:00pm. “So I could not go to my village home as the way I had planned a month ago to spend three days with my family members,” he added.
