Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy celebrates Rabindranath Tagore

Recently, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) hosted a discussion and a cultural programme on the occasion of Rabindranath Tagore's 77th death anniversary. Begum Akhter Kamal, Professor, University of Dhaka, was present at the discussion, presided over by Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Liaquat Ali Lucky.

Dancers of Bangaldesh Shilpakala Academy performed on the songs Aguner Poroshmoni and Akash Bhora Surjo Tara. There were more performances on the songs Amar Mukti Aloye Aloye, Dhonilo Ahoban, choreographed by Sharmila Bandyopadhyay, Jodi Tor Daak Shuney Keo Na Ashey, choreographed by Warda Rihab. Singers Sushmita Ahmed Borna, Fahim Hossain Chowdhury, Iffat Ara Dewan, Bulbul Islam, Kamalika Chakraborty and Semonti Monjari mesmerised the audience with their performances. Syed Ahsan Imam did a poetry recitation as well.
