Debi's first song hits YouTube

The first song from Jaaz Multimedia's upcoming psychological thriller Debi, was released on YouTube recently. The folk-oriented song Doyel Pakhi Konna Re, penned by lyricist Rakib Hasan Rahul and composed by rising music director and singer Pritom Hasan was effortlessly sung by the queen of Bangladeshi folk music, Momotaz. The music video provides a quirky and exciting glimpse of behind-the-scenes footage from the film. Debi is based on the novel of the same name by the late legend of contemporary Bangla literature, Humayun Ahmed. Celebrated actor Jaya Ahsan's production house C te Cinema has joined forces with Jaaz Multimedia in producing film starring Jaya Ahsan, Chanchal Chowdhury, Animesh Aich, Iresh Zaker and Sabnam Faria. The movie is directed by Anam Biswas and revolves around one of Humayun Ahmed's most iconic characters, Misir Ali. Debi has also received the National Film Grant and is one of the most anticipated films this year.
