Bangladesh consulate office in Lahore opens

A new Consulate General Office of Bangladesh has been opened in Lahore, Pakistan, reports UNB.

A leading businessman in Lahore Humayun Fareed has recently been appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Bangladesh.

A function was arranged on December 27 on the occasion where Speaker of Pakistan National Assembly Illahi Baksh Soomro was present as chief guest.

He hoisted the national flag of Bangladesh in presence of a large number of guests.

A reception was also held at the new consul general office which was co-hosted by Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan QAMA Rahim.

Apart from the consulate office in Lahore, there is a Deputy High Commission in Karachi, in addition to the High Commission in Islamabad.
