Ctg depot fire: 8 more bodies identified

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has identified eight more bodies, which remained unidentified in Chattogram's BM Container Depot fire incident, through DNA tests.

With the latest, 37 out of 51 bodies have been identified, reports our local staff correspondent Sumon Bonik, inspector (investigation) of Sitakunda Police Station and also IO of BM depot case.

More human remains found at Ctg’s BM depot wreckage

"Among the eight bodies, five were kept at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, two at Anjuman Mafidul Islam and one in Cox's Bazar Medical College Hospital. We informed their family members to take the bodies for burial," the police official told The Daily Star.

Earlier, 29 bodies of the depot fire victims were identified and handed over to the families, said police.
