New Super Market fire: Fire service forms 5-member probe body

Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence today formed a five-member probe committee to identify the cause of Saturday's fire at Dhaka New Super Market.
The committee, headed by Director (Admin & Finance) Wahidul Islam, will also prepare the cause of fire and estimate the cost of damage, said a press release.
The committee has been asked to submit its report by the next five working days.
Yesterday, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) formed a nine-member probe committee to investigate the incident.
Just 11 days after a blaze ripped through the Bangabazar shopping complex in the capital, another one gutted nearly 300 shops in Dhaka New Super Market on Saturday. More than 500 shops were affected by the fire.
